EMDR II it is a technique that allows a stressful memory to be processed, healed and restored. Although EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is an eight phase form of treatment, it can be divided into a three step process: 1) identifying the triggers associated with the trauma, 2) understanding the negative cognitions that are attached to the trauma and 3) integrating a new positive and dominant belief to the experience. Bonnie has found EMDR to be a powerful tool to help overcome the feelings of being powerless that comes with so many of life’s traumatic events.
